
Chapel Hill impacts the community in which it conducts business through donations and by encouraging our employees to volunteer their time in serving the community. We work collaboratively with both local and international groups and contribute to various projects. Our efforts have been channelled through the following projects:
- African Child Development Initiative (ACDI):
ACDI assists primary educational institutions in improving and/or expanding their facilities in order to ensure that underprivileged children have access to a conducive learning environment. The firm has funded the construction of classrooms in Iwaya, one of Nigeria’s less privileged communities.
- World Food Programme – Catwalk the World:
The World Food Programme is the United Nations frontline agency in the fight against global hunger.
- Ovie Brume Youth Centre:
The Ovie Brume Youth Centre opened its doors in January 2004 to selected state school children, to provide an opportunity for them to participate in activities like art, drama, Music, Literacy Classes, Mentoring & Counselling which their schools and immediate environment are unable to provide.
- The Nigerian Stock Exchange Corporate Governance Workshop:
Chapel Hill sponsored the Nigerian Stock Exchange’s organised workshop in February 2007 to deliver an international perspective on the issue of Corporate Governance and to enlighten the public and market operators on the rules and regulations of the Exchange in line with Corporate Governance.
- Children and Women Rights Advocate Initiative (CAWRAI):
Awareness Campaign of Street Children and Women Rights. This rights initiative kicked off in May 2007 and is intended to advocate the promotion of the well being of every child and woman socially, culturally, educationally, psychologically and health wise.
- The Arts:
Chapel Hill is a supporter of Nigerian arts and artists.
- Community Service:
Chapel Hill staff coach children at a local school in team sports and sit on the Advisory Board of the Children’s Developmental Centre.
